Amanda Schwersky
Cello Instructor
Amanda Schwersky has been teaching cello, violin and viola for the past 13 years both in the public school systems and in her own private studios. Amanda received her undergraduate degree from Ball State University Muncie, Indiana where she majored in Music Education and Performance on cello. Her teachers include, Marilyn Buchanan and Roger Maltz. She is currently a candidate for her Masters at Boston University in Music Education Boston, MA.
Over the last 6 years in New Hampshire Amanda has been a active member in the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra. Amanda has played cello with several quartets and trios including the Woodbine String Quartet and the Philharmonic Trio.
Amanda has recently recorded with several local singer/songwriters and the Brooks Young Band from Concord at the Rocking Horse Recording Studio in Pittsfield, NH. Amanda is also a freelance player who has performed in Boston and various cites in New Hampshire and Indiana for weddings, parties and fundraisers including the Majestic Theatre in Manchester, NH.
In her spare time Amanda enjoys local art, hiking and training for area races. She currently resides in Manchester, NH.
